White bread tastes like a crumply used napkin that has been left out on the table overnight, but still people eat it. It is maybe a little cheaper, but this is your life we are talking about!
What you eat is what you are. Maybe that isn't the saying... anyway it basically means the same thing.
White bread is for poor people who don't have any homes and orphan children. Those of us who have jobs, come on lets be responsible.
Don't be a stickler for some pennies, indulge in the wheat bread. Your body and family will thank you.
You see, bread is the best way to get carbohydrates in your diet. Carbohydrate: any of a class of organic compound that are polyhydroxy aldehydes or polyhydroxy ketones, or change to such substances on simple chemical transformations, as hydrolysis, oxidation, or reduction, and that form the supporting tissues of plants and are important food for animals and people.
That is according to dictionary.com. What it means: carbohydrates are going to turn into energy when we eat them.
These carbs have a chemical structure like honeycombs and our body has to break them down to get energy. If for some reason we get more carbs than the amount of calories we burn, the overflow is turned
into fat.
Wheat bread has a bigger more complex chemical structure than white bread does, and that is going to give us more energy and it is going to be less likely to turn into fat in our body. Have you ever heard of the Atkin Diet?
This diet was created to stop carbs from turning into fat, but the problem is these people on the Atkin Diet do not have any energy to burn that fat they already have. So what is happening is they are eating more proteins and more dairies.
Because who eats fruits and veggies? Well since they are eating more proteins and dairies, they are getting more fat, and things are just getting worse for them.
Any nutritionist will tell you, "don't give up carbohydrates, just try and eat more whole grains and wheat." That is how you can get some good sustaining energy, and still keep the weight from building.
Besides from giving you energy and being great for sandwiches, wheat bread is going to be a great source of fuel for your brain. It is true, the brain can only use one thing for fuel, and that is sugar.
After the carbohydrates are broken down in your stomach, they are metabolized in your intestines, and then they are chemically converted into sugars brought to the brain and used as fuel. Actually whatever part of your body needs the energy will use the sugar made from the bread.
