It's usually not too smart to consume too many dairy and animal products because of the cholesterol content, foreign DNA, and pathogens. However, there are instances when goat's milk can come in handy.

One of these is for little babies. Human babies are in need of milk for nourishment, however, sometimes, the mother is unable to breast feed due to death or a physical condition.

You would never really want to give a baby cow's milk, because studies show that children under two will be prone to diabetes if given cow's milk too early in age.

Humans don't really need milk because of the weaning factor that they went through at the around the age of two or three. Most people in the world become lactose intolerant at the the age of weaning.

Milk is naturally no longer needed when a human or other species becomes grown enough to have teeth and start chewing food. The body grows into this advanced state.

Goat's milk has a distinctive taste which you may or may not like, just as certain people may or may not like the taste of cow's milk. It is certainly not something that your body requires.

However, in certain European countries like Norway, goats are used to provide milk for people as a source of extra calories and for variety. This milk can be made into goat cheese, which has a caramel color and a caramel taste.

People who are used to it really like it. If you are going to try to consume milk from another species, goats are a better choice health wise than cows.

Yogurt can also be made with the milk of various animals which will supply a person with probiotics. Some people even like to make ice cream with goat's milk, which is a little more palatable for the finicky person.

By adding some sugar, vanilla, and salt, the goat's ice cream can be edible to those grossed out by the goat's milk taste. This is much like what is done to cow's milk or cream to make it into a tasty ice cream, where even those who hate the taste of cow's milk will eagerly enjoy a bowl.

For babies, goat's milk is a reliable alternative to help raise a healthy child. It does have many good nutritional aspects. For adults, it is a better nutritional option than cow's milk.

There are certain cheeses made in America and sold at health food stores that many people enjoy. The only problem is the extra cholesterol in the cheese is something that you don't really need.

If you want cheese as part of your daily menu plans and don't like the thought of it coming from animals, you may also want to consider almond, rice or soy cheeses.
