Avoiding Illness During the Fall and Winter Months

It's important to really take care of yourself during the cold weather season. This is a time for greater incidences of cold and flu.
There are many things you can do to have a strong immune system. One of these is to make sure that you get enough sunshine during the warm season.
You need plenty of vitamin D. Many studies have shown that this vitamin is imperative for strong bones and for a a strong immune system.
Ideally, you would need ten minutes a day for your whole body. But, just getting plenty by being outdoors swimming and hiking will help a lot.
Your body stores a good amount in your body to last for months. It's when most people's supply of vitamin D gets lowest that they are most vulnerable to illness.
It's good to get it checked with the doctor and to take some supplements if needed. Contrary to popular thinking, you do need sunshine on your skin, it's the sunscreens that can cause cancer.

Find some ways to deal with stress, get the sufficient amount of sleep, and enjoy associations with people you like. And, make sure that you eat some grains, beans, fruits, and vegetables.
