Omegas are considered to be essential fatty acids, well, all except omega 9. These fatty acids have some amazing effects on health, and that is probably why they are considered essential.

Fat is essential to life, look at the anorexic and the bulimic, there are two perfect examples of why you need fat. Besides to protect you from the harsh winter months, it is going to provide relief from joint pain.

Omegas are the fatty acids you get from foods like fish and almonds; they even sell them in little bottles of concentrated fatty acids in oil form. These bottles of fat concentrate are disgusting, plus research has shown that getting nutrients from the food you eat is ten times healthier than taking supplements.

The most important omega to be aware of is number three. Not saying it is better than the other ones, but it kind of is, it is just harder to get from a normal diet.

These are the ones you get predominately from fish. The main function of these is to provide anti-inflammatory benefits.

Getting these omega threes in any sort of supplement can result in bloating, gassiness, and even cramps in the stomach. You see, the body isn't equipped to digest things so compact like supplements, so as good as they are
it is still better to get nutrients from your food.

Omegas are an essential part of glucosamine, which is going to congeal in the joints like grease. This sounds disgusting but it is actually very good for you bones.

Because of this fat congealing in the joints process, your body will be protected from things like arthritis osteoporosis and other bone related disorders. So for the sake of your joints eat some fish.

Just getting omega 3 though isn't going to be as good as getting all three separate nutrients. These omegas work synergistically with each other.

Omega 6 is going to accentuate the effects of 3, and 9, the ugly step sister to the three, plays its part too. Omega 9 is not actually essential because our bodies can make it.

But it is still to give your body a little extra boost every once in a while, just to lighten the burden of creating fats all the time. All these fats are going to play a huge role in brain development.

The brain is basically water and fat. So what do you think it is going to need a lot of to stay healthy?

You're right it is going to require fatty acids. These have been show to improve brain functioning in animals and humans a like.

So if you are training your dog, feed him some omegas. And if you are training your kid, feed him omegas too.
