Green Bottled Spring Water May Provide Better Recycling Options

Many companies that sell water products are providing them as green bottle spring water. Many environmentally aware people favor this newer method of production as a way to provide better options in recyclable products.
People have been enjoying the convenience and dependable flavor of bottled water for a very long time. Once used by people who either liked the taste of waters from specific regions or who had poor tasting water in their homes or offices, products in single size or multiple size containers have become very popular. Those who travel, work out or want to have consistent taste in water products frequently have a bottle available at almost all times.
In the past, most bottles have been made from either glass or plastic. Only a few companies provide glass bottles and most of them use plastic ones in either single servings or multiple serving containers. Plastic is a petroleum based product. Many people do not like to use products that come in these types of containers. The reasons range from the fact that many people feel this packaging gives off its own undesirable flavor that they can taste when they consume the product.
Others may want to avoid lending any support to big oil companies, as these are the ones who provide the raw materials used in the production of plastic. Some feels that not enough is done to actually recycle these products or that there are too many steps involved in their production or recycling. Many dislike the fact that once the oil is changed to plastic, it is forever changed and adds more chemicals of all kinds to the environment. They may have concerns about how chemicals affect the animals and people of the planet.
Some of the newer offerings in recyclable bottles include what is called a green bottle. These products are made from plants, not oil. Plastic based bottles take more than 100 years to decompose if they are buried in the ground. The new bottles are not recyclable. Instead, they are used as compost as they come from plants. They decompose in a matter of months and enhance the soil. They do not make the water they contain taste any different. Many of these bottles are made from corn, which is a very renewable resource and is not finite like petroleum products. These products are becoming more prevalent on the consumer market and some companies and organizations have been supplying green bottle spring water to their employees for some time.
