One of the most painful forms of arthritis is that of rheumatoid arthritis. The joints of the fingers can become deformed and the pain more severe than just the regular arthritis disease.

Not only that, but there are also problems with fatigue, other joint swelling and pain, and less free range of movement. It can be a very crippling disease.

Usually medical doctors who have very little training in nutritional therapy will tell a patient that there is no cure. Some are even told that they have about a year before they end up on disability and in a wheelchair.

The only hope that these victims have is in the pain medication or other pills that don't really solve the problem and usually have side effects. These remedies might be helpful for pain and other symptoms, but they don't really solve the problem or cause.

Most doctors don't realize the full impact that a person's diet can have on the accumulation of disease. Most people don't even know that what they eat may be causing a certain disease or weakness in their body.

Studies in Sweden have shown improvement for rheumatoid arthritis sufferers by just changing their diet. People were given a Mediterranean diet of fruits, vege
tables, beans, and certain oils.

There were two groups of about 25 each. One group ate the traditional Swedish diet of meats and dairy, while the other group followed the Mediterranean diet with the elimination of dairy products.

After just three months of this study, there was marked improvement for the RA sufferers on the dairy-free Mediterranean diet. There have been various incidents showing marked improvement over a year's time with a vegetarian diet and three week's time with a vegan diet.

On the vegan diet, there are no animal products in the diet at all. While on the vegetarian diet, eggs and dairy or fish can be included without any regular meats.

Some people experience complete reversal of the whole rheumatoid arthritis problems by not only doing a vegan diet, but also doing a completely raw food regimen. It appears that the less animal products that are consumed, especially the dairy products, the greater the reversal.

And, the healthier plant foods that are included, the faster and more complete recovery there is for those who suffer with the problem. Rates of any type of arthritis tend to be higher as people eat more animal products.

It is possible to experience a lot less pain and to reverse the disease. There is a cure, it's just not as well known.
