High alkaline diets have been proclaimed to increase metabolism, neutralize acid in the blood stream, and boost your energy levels. Some people even claim that these types of diets are going to help prevent diseases, fight the aging process, and help decrease bone-loss.
As of yet, with modern research there have been two things that are known to be true with this type of diet. The first is it actually does help you to maintain bone integrity, but studies haven't examined whether that increased bone strength is going to last very long after alkaline consumption stops.
The second is foods in their raw form (the predominant proponents of an alkaline diet) generally have nutrients that are most easily digested and metabolized by the body. So it doesn't actually speed up your metabolism, it is just that you are eating foods that are going to be more quickly metabolized.
Should you go out and get a contract with some high alkaline water? Basically, yes, if your main concern is having delicious coffee.
As it turns out the increased pH in this water compliments the flavor of the coffee bean in such a way that has all coffee connoisseurs nodding their head and saying "indeed" or "quite right". That may not seem like a lot for the commone
r, but knowing that it is coming from one of the coffee snobs has to mean something.
Despite making coffee taste great according to regular coffee drinkers, there seem to be very few practiced, tried and proven benefits from alkaline water. To some degree it will help lower acidity, meaning less acid reflux, indigestion, and constipation, though most people could probably deal with this in a much less expensive and unconventional way.
Drinking water has become so easy, anything more complicated than pressing the button on the fridge- for those less fortunate, lifting the lever to the tap- is simply going be a pain. Nobody wants to go out of his way to find some specially treated water that has a higher pH balance, it seems very unconventional.
So as for the water, you will be fine without it. Though going with a high alkaline diet will undoubtedly make you much healthier, though the benefits were not discussed as much in this article you should know that it is a very effective diet if you are trying to lose weight or just get healthier.
Basically a high alkaline diet consists of eating lots of raw fruit and vegetables; it doesn't mean that you should exclusively eat alkaline foods and nothing else because that would be silly. You have to have everything in moderation, and as it turns out moderation here means 20 percent acidic foods.
