So many of us are becoming obsessed with what foods we eat. There are so many things that we have discovered that are not healthy for us to ingest such as some preservatives and food dyes that might be completely unnecessary to include in some things we eat. While we might not be able to completely avoid things like this in our food diet sometimes, it is a good thing to watch what we eat a little more closely than we have in the past. What many of us might not watch as closely are the things that we drink.

The big craze that has taken place with water is definitely a good one. People have finally realized the importance of drinking, pure, clear water on a regular basis everyday. Everywhere you look you can see people from all walks of life with their water bottles. Our bodies are made up of so much water we need to replenish it as we use it up doing everyday things. Even if we are not exerting ourselves we need to drink water everyday.

When we do exert ourselves doing things like working with a lot of movement and especially exercising, we need even more water then. When we are exerting ourselves outdoors in the heat of the day, it is even m
ore vital that we keep ourselves hydrated. In the hot summer months it is important that parents make sure that their children drink plenty of water because they can become dehydrated as they play and really not even realize they are becoming overheated. Elderly people too can be overcome with heat exhaustion and dehydration easier than others.

If you are one of the many people who just do not like to drink water, there are plenty of flavor additives that you can put in your water bottle that are sugar free or low calorie or you can buy water that already has flavor added. You should be careful and read the ingredients however if you are concerned with unnatural additives and preservatives because some of these flavorings have them.

Anytime you are outside working, walking, or enjoying any kind of activity that will cause the water supply in your body to deplete, accustom yourself to keeping a water bottle handy. It will keep you hydrated and healthier. If you purchase plastic water bottles, be sure you recycle them. We are using millions of these bottles every year now and they should be recycled or we could be overrun with them in a few more years. If you can, purchase a container that you can reuse and refill it each time you need it.
