If you pay three dollars or more for a cup of coffee on your way into work in the morning or anytime for that matter, you are definitely not alone. It seems that there is a trend with many working people who think that the more you pay for a cup of coffee the better it must be. Actually, like with anything else you spend your money on, that just might not be true. This is a ridiculous amount of money to pay for any drink, but people do it by the millions everyday.

Many times people pay these exorbitant prices for coffee because the shops are on their way and can be convenient to stop in, grab a cup, and go. But if you really thought about it, what if you had a whole thermos filled with the coffee that you like and brought it from home? Granted, it might be a little difficult to carry around a can or bowl of whipped cream or what ever it is they use, but the majority of cappuccinos, special blends, and espressos can be made in your home home, provided of course, you have the right machine.

If you think about how much money you spend if you buy an expensive cup of coffee or two every work day, in just a couple of months that would be enough money to buy a really nice coffee maker that would make whatever your preferred drink is. There are so many flavorings and creamers available in stores today, there is probably nothing you can get in the coffee shops that you can not get to take home at your local supermarket. Even if they do not have what you are looking for specifically, odds are you could find it on the Internet.

There are some really expensive espresso machine and cappuccino makers out there, but if you are not too picky, you can get them for reasonable prices. Then just buy your supplies and practice a little and probably in no time you can be making your favorite coffee shop drink at a much better price than you have been paying. It might take a few tries and a little wasted brew to get it just the way you want it, but when you think of all the cash you can be saving in the long run, it will be well worth it. Oh yeah, do not forget to buy a good thermos or at least a very large thermal cup!
