The doorbell rings and your family begins to arrive for the big festive day. The dining room table is set. The silverware and dishes look beautiful against the flickering candlelight. There is turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, squash, cranberry sauce, and all the trimmings. You haven't forgotten a thing.
But as you look at your dining room table and wonderful feast spread out, the one item you are looking forward to the most is not the turkey or the stuffing, but that exquisite cup of gourmet coffee after the meal. Coffee you say?? I know it may sound different than what most people are used to craving on the holidays, but it is what I look forward to the most. I am especially excited this year because I will be able to share my passion of gourmet coffee with the whole family by preparing a variety of warm holiday drinks for them.
Nothing else ends the night on a perfect note better than sitting in front of the fireplace with a splendid cup of holiday cheer. There are many different flavors you can offer your guests, such as pumpkin spice, gingerbread, and vanilla cinnamon. But no matter how you "top off" that cup
of coffee -- with spices, creamers, or even a dab of whip cream -- you will lose the spirit of your holiday drink if you don't start with the freshest whole beans.
Appreciating and creating your own gourmet coffee is a passion, an art form. A nice soothing cup of gourmet coffee is what your guests will need after a full holiday dinner. Whether you are more interested in espresso or regular coffee, whole beans are the only way to go to achieve the freshest, boldest, and most exquisite cup of holiday cheer.
Just as you take the time to prepare a gourmet meal for your family, take a few extra minutes to finish off the night with a fabulous cup of coffee. Make sure you have a good variety of beans for your guests to choose from. There are different flavors and different strengths based on the bean variety.
Once the beans are chosen, grind them carefully in your grinder. The finer you grind the bean the better suited they are for drinks like espresso. Top it off with a dab of cream for those who like a sweeter taste and add a few teaspoons of your spice. Be thankful for what the good times together, and show your family how much you love them by sharing a wonderful cup of gourmet coffee with them.
